With the contribution of our congregation members and the support of the Danish region, Y's Men Club Savaria was founded on 25 May, 2001. The club makes it avaliable for SOTER Lutheran Youth Association connected to our congregation to be involved in international circles. Our primary objectives are to support the Hungarian YMCA and to help the young within the congregation by organizing and funding programs and foreign scholarships for them.
One of the most significant results of the last 5 years' work is the Fair on Advent Sunday.
The income is funneled partly into the youth programs in the congregation and partly into some business the club members consider important and valuable in the current year, such as the financial support of the building of the Conference Center of the Hungarian YMCA, Sóvár in Balatongyörök, or of the Johanneum
Pastoral Care and Counseling Center operated by the Lutheran Church in Szombathely.
We have 23 members in the club.
